The Tribeca Film Festival is getting into productions and will back the upcoming psychological thriller Snare, directed by Sonja O’Hara and Adam Hoelzel, reports Variety.

Marissa Bode, the actress who made her feature film debut playing Nessarose Thropp in Wicked, will play a mycological researcher…

Snare follows a mushroom expert named Ro (O’Hara) who falls into a love triangle that eventually results in obsession and body horror.”

Bode will play Greta Mills, Ro’s smart, witty and ambitious research partner who unwittingly becomes entangled in the film’s violent conflict, adds the site.

“Marissa brings a raw, lived-in honesty that fits perfectly into this world of ambition, desire, and unraveling identity,” says O’Hara. “Having her join not just as an actor but as an executive producer is an incredible gift — she’s helping shape Snare with the same fearlessness she brings to the screen.”

Also starring in the film is Greg Tarzan Davis of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and Top Gun: Maverick.
