‘undertone’ Teaser Sets an Ominous Tone for Tomorrow’s Trailer Drop
Horror movies tend to play better with headphones, and that’s certainly the case for this undertone teaser — which consists of over two minutes of distorted audio.
If you reverse the video’s sound, you’ll hear rendition of “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” and a woman repeating “I pray for you,” along with various unintelligible voices and ominous sounds.
A24 will release the official trailer for the slow-burn horror film tomorrow.
It follows a paranormal podcast host who moves into her dying mother’s house to be her primary caregiver. When she receives audio recordings of a young pregnant couple experiencing supernatural noises, she realizes the woman’s story mirrors her own.
Each new recording scratches at her sanity, drawing her into a fate she cannot escape.
Writer-director Ian Tuason makes his feature debut on the film, which led to a gig helming the upcoming Paranormal Activity reboot.
