South Korean filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho, best known for the zombie hit Train to Busan, is celebrating a strong home-market debut for his zombie thriller Colony, which drew nearly 200,000 moviegoers Thursday for the biggest opening day of the year.

The Korea Times reports that the Korean film recorded 199,768 admissions on its opening day, according to data released by the Korean Film Council on Friday.
