‘The Death of Robin Hood’ Trailer – Hugh Jackman Brings the Legendary Outlaw to Life
The legend of Robin Hood was a lie, according to the trailer for The Death of Robin Hood.
The dark reimagining of the classic folk tale is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One, Pig).
Hugh Jackman stars as the titular outlaw, channeling an energy reminiscent of Logan as he confronts his own morality.
Grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman, he is offered a chance at salvation.
Jodie Comer (28 Years Later), Bill Skarsgård (IT), Murray Bartlett (“The White Lotus”), and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) round out the cast.
“There’s an old quote about Robin that sort of says he’s this murderous bandit who the common folk have decided to glorify,” Sarnoski previously stated. “And I wanted to examine someone who was going through that in their lifetime, and trying to grapple with the role of storytelling and their actual identity.”
