‘Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’ Wins Game of The Year at The Game Awards 2025
After receiving the most nominations in the show’s history, French developer Sandfall Interactive‘s critically acclaimed RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took home the lion’s share of awards at The Game Awards 2025 last night, including the coveted Game of the Year. In total, Clair Obscur walked away with nine awards (the most ever) out of its 13 nominations (also the most ever).
The only categories where Clair Obscur failed to win were in Best Audio Design (won by Battlefield 6) and the Players’ Voice award, which was won by Wuthering Waves.
