I will watch almost anything where someone digs up a thing that should have stayed buried. Ryan Glover’s Split Rock offers exactly that, with a remote stretch of badlands and an intelligence older than anything with a pulse. On paper this is very much my kind of movie. On screen it mostly felt like waiting.
