Paul Dano (pictured above in Prisoners) has been cast in Paramount’s remake of Andrzej Żuławski‘s cult classic, Possession, reports Deadline.

The actor joins The Substance breakout Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner (Green Room, Victor Frankenstein).

Parker Finn (Smile 2) will write/direct the film.

The original pic follows a woman who begins exhibiting increasingly disturbing behavior after asking her husband for a divorce. Suspicions of infidelity soon give way to something much more sinister.
